About Andrew Morrisey

Andrew was drawn to becoming a practitioner of the healing arts after a career in the creative arts. “Animal whispering, only with humans,” is something he recognized in himself at an early age. A transformational process began in his own life after a car accident in his early 20s, a moment that confirmed for him the less tangible aspects of the world he could before only sense. Years later, upon befriending the chiropractor renting office space below him, Andrew caught a clearer look at how he might more sincerely offer himself to the world than he was finding in his creative work.

Upon receiving Reiki certification Andrew began immediately to work with individuals, groups, and animals. His first longterm patient was a little black cat with a thyroid issue, who lived downstairs but snuck upstairs nightly to visit Andrew on the third floor he was renting near the Atlantic Ocean. Andrew spent several years working with people and animals up and down the North Carolina coast before establishing Inner Spaceship as a remote practice and offering free Reiki at parks, town common areas, and local markets while on various travels across the United States and Mexico. In early 2024 he felt it right to set up Inner Spaceship as a more permanent fixture in his old college town of Lawrence, Kansas.

You can not unlearn within you what you can not see within you.

— The Inner Spaceship Approach

Andrew is committed to serving people of all ages and from all backgrounds through the application, philosophy, and art of Reiki, helping them see and connect to their own innate knowing and the healing capacity within it. He remains a student of all things, attending continued trainings in the Reiki field and approaching every session as a collaboration in the unknown between himself, the person on his table, and the life force that comprises them.

Andrew also continues his creative work in an independent fashion through Storylabs, a publishing platform he created to share stories influenced by his travels, his spiritual explorations, and his own healing journey.
